Robert Half is partnering with a well-established company in the Blue Ash area to identify a B2B Collections Specialist . This role is ideal for a proactive professional with strong commercial collections experience who can effectively manage customer accounts, resolve payment issues, and maintain positive client relationships while improving cash flow.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with business customers, conducting account research, and collaborating with internal sales and accounting teams to resolve outstanding balances.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of commercial customer accounts and oversee collection efforts on past-due balances.
• Contact customers via phone and email to secure payment commitments and resolve outstanding receivables.
• Research and reconcile account discrepancies, short payments, deductions, and billing issues.
• Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection activities to reduce delinquency.
• Maintain accurate documentation of collection activities, customer communications, and payment arrangements.
• Work closely with internal departments, including Sales, Customer Service, and Accounting, to resolve disputes and facilitate collections.
• Review customer credit information and identify potential collection risks.
• Prepare weekly aging reports and provide updates on collection activity and cash receipts.
• Support month-end close activities related to accounts receivable.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain professional customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of business-to-business (B2B) collections experience.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable, collections processes, and aging analysis.
• Experience handling customer disputes, deductions, and account reconciliations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone presence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or service-based industries.
• Exposure to credit and collections analysis.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
