Overview:
Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Endoscopy Unit . This is a Full Time, Day shift in Charlottesville, VA! Schedule: Four 9-hour shifts: The hours are 645a to 415P between Monday and Friday.
Call Requirements : 1 day during the week from 4pm to 6am and every 4th weekend.
Sign on Bonus of 15,000 available for qualified candidates
Endoscopy Unit:
Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital’s Digestive Care Center’s board-certified gastroenterologists, including two Gastroenterology physicians and a colorectal surgeon, treat a variety of diseases affecting the gallbladder, liver, mouth, stomach, intestines, pancreas, colon, and esophagus. The department sees an average of 16-18 procedures per day, both ambulatory and inpatient.
The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
